Resumo:
The convergence of Edge Computing (EC) and Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTNs) is poised to transform next-generation communication systems, particularly in the context of Sixth-Generation (6G) networks. Among the various NTN components, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) play a crucial role in providing localized, low-latency computing services in areas where traditional infrastructure is unavailable or impractical. This study presents a systematic review of UAV-assisted EC within 6G networks, analyzing 21 selected research papers published between 2018 and 2023. We identify key challenges in resource allocation, mobility management, energy efficiency, and security. Furthermore, we propose a comprehensive taxonomy to categorize techniques and applications for UAV-enabled EC. This study also highlights emerging trends and research gaps, focusing on adaptive resource management strategies, Edge AI, and collaborative UAV networks. Our findings offer insights into the evolving landscape of UAV-based EC and provide a roadmap for future research, particularly in optimizing resource allocation, ensuring secure communication, and integrating AI-driven solutions in highly dynamic environments.
