Resumo:
This thesis investigated the impact of using Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) on students’ perception and acceptance during Enade preparation. To this end, the study adopted the Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM) methodology, which guided all research stages, from problem identification to the development and evaluation of an adaptive model based on the Elo rating system, integrated into the Questione platform. The proposal was validated through an empirical study comparing fixed and adaptive mock tests, with analysis of student performance and application of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The results showed greater acceptance of the adaptive model, with gains in the dimensions of perceived usefulness, ease of use, attitude, and intention to use, even with lower average performance, justified by the higher level of challenge of the adaptive questions. The study concludes that the adaptive model positively impacted student acceptance and represents a promising alternative for personalized preparation strategies. As future perspectives, the study highlights the automated expansion of the question bank supported by language models, the use of multidimensional adaptive models, and the enhancement of accessibility in adaptive educational contexts.
